IRVINE, Calif. – After recording back-to-back clean sheets last week with two victories, goalkeeper Paul-Andre Guerin was named Big West Defensive Player of the Week the conference announce Monday.
The Titans begun the week with a 1-0 victory over Loyola Marymount on the road before taking demolishing San Francisco 4-0 at Titan Stadium Saturday afternoon. With the two shutouts, Guerin is now tied for fifth all-time in the history of the program for most shutouts in a career.
Guerin had a lot of help from his defense throughout the two matches as the Titans only allowed one shot all week. The junior goalkeeper is second in the Big West Conference with 36 saves on the year and is fifth in goal against average at 1.09 per game.
Fullerton and Guerin return to action Wednesday night at 7 p.m. PT as they host CSUN in the first Big West Conference game of the season.
