Pair of Titans Named to All-Tournament Team, Titans Fall 2-1 Against Wright State

COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The Cal State Fullerton men's soccer team fell short Sunday morning as back-to-back goals from Wright State sealed the deal to take down the Titans 2-1 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Wright State struck first with goals right away in the second half from Peguy Ngatcha in the 48th minute and Jake Stovall in the 49th.  Fullerton (0-2-0) netted their first goal of the season in the 75th minute off a penalty kick from sophomore Robert Coronado to bring the Titans within one.

Freshman Brandon West led the Titans with four shots on the day while goalkeeper David Rodriguez Elias had four saves while allowing two.

Two Titans were named to the 2015 Wolstein Classic All- Tournament team in freshman defender Carlos Troncoso and sophomore midfielder Nicolo D'Amato.

Fullerton returns to Titan Stadium for their home opener on Friday, Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m. against George Washington. Ticket information for Friday's game can be found here.

NOTES: This was the first meeting between the two teams… Fullerton cut their fouls in half from Friday night totaling only 10 on Sunday… Coronado scored his first goal of the season, already at half the amount he scored in 2014 (2)… Senior Colin Okirie was on the pitch for 173 out 180 minutes in the first two matches of the season.
