Fullerton Finishes Round One at the NCAA Regionals in Ninth Place

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – After one round of the NCAA regional Monday afternoon at the TPC of Myrtle Beach, Cal State Fullerton is in ninth place with a score of 4-over par 292.

Derek Castillo leads the way for the Titans individually. He is even at par, after shooting a 72 to leave him tied for 20th place.

The Titans have two players tied for 28th place individually. Matt Wilson and Dalton Daniel both finished with a score of 1-over par 73 for round one.

Jack Dyer finished the day with a 2-over par 74, leaving him in a tie for 36th place individually. Michael Sharkey is tied for 72nd place after posting a score of 9-over par 81.

Illinois sits on the top of the leaderboard by 5 strokes over second place Ohio State, shooting 9-under par 279 for the day. Adrien Dumont de Chassart of Illinois leads the tournament individually with a score of 5-under par 67.

Fullerton returns to action for the second round of the Myrtle Beach Regional Tuesday morning.
