Magrisi and Groeneweg Earn WCL Moss Adams Pitcher of the Week Honors

FULLERTON, Calif. – The two soon-to-be sophomores, Joe Magrisi and Titus Groeneweg, earned back-to-back Moss Adams Pitcher of the Week awards to start the summer campaign in the West Coast League.

The inaugural pitching selection for 2019 was Magrisi of Yakima Valley. The sophomore-to-be picked up the win against Wenatchee on June 7 after allowing just one hit in five scoreless innings. Over his two appearances this season he has ten strikeouts in six innings of work. Groeneweg made one start and one relief appearance for the Pickles, tossing a total of seven scoreless innings with ten strikeouts. 

In his first year at Cal State Fullerton, Groeneweg made 13 appearances and had a 2-0 record in 22 innings pitched. Magrisi finished his freshman campaign with a 1-3 record 21.1 innings pitched while striking out 22 batters in 11 appearances.
