Turner Notches Three Hits in Game One of World Series

Box Score

BOSTON – It didn't go the way the Los Angeles Dodgers wanted it to, but former Titan Justin Turner did his part, as he led LA with three hits on the evening. The Boston Red Sox went on to win game one of the World Series 8-4, Tuesday evening at Fenway Park.

Overall Turner has now logged four multi-hit games this postseason, while Tuesday's performance was his third career three-hit postseason game and the first since last year's National League Division Series.

Turner went 3-for-5 from the dish in the contest, with three singles and a run scored. He began the game with a strikeout and ended the contest with one, but he delivered his first knock on a single to right field with one away in the third on a 1-1 count. Two batters later, Machado drove in Turner to two the game at 2-2.

Turner delivered a single to left field in the top of the fifth frame and eventually got to third base, but wasn't able to come in to score. His final hit of the night came on a one out single to center to advance teammate Max Muncy to second base. He singled to all three fields on the evening.

Turner and the Dodgers will look to tie up the series tomorrow in Boston. First pitch is slated for 5:30 pm PT. The game will be televised on FOX.
