Titans Host Annual Miracle League Clinic on Wednesday

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton baseball team hosted its annual free clinic for the Miracle League of North Orange County, Wednesday night at Goodwin Field.

The Miracle League gives mentally and physically disabled children and adults the chance to play the great game of baseball.

"It was really awesome to get out there and spend time with these guys," said Titan closer Brett Conine. "The passion and love they have for life and the game of baseball was awesome to see. It really puts everything in perspective."

The clinic at Goodwin Field gave the players - with ages ranging from eight into their mid-sixties- the opportunity to interact with the current roster of Titan coaches and players on the main diamond, in the bullpens and in the batting cages

The event has produced some of the Titans' most loyal and supportive fans over the years. Many Titans had left the clinic saying it's the most humbling and gratifying experience they've ever had.

The Titans and miracle leaguers participated in drills, ran the base paths, laughed and shared stories. The evening ended with the group eating pizza together.
