FULLERTON, Calif. - Reyte Rash is the fifth student-athlete to sign a National Letters of Intent to join the Cal State Fullerton track and field program in the fall of 2019. Rash joins Deja Allain, Maya Occiano and Sierrah Rivera and Nathyn Scruggs as the five signees.
Rash, a native of Riverside, Calif., is currently in his senior year at Martin Luther King High School. As a short and long hurdler, Rash has clocked personal-best times of 14.49 in the 110-meter hurdles and 37.18 in the 300-meter hurdles. He earned a runner-up finish at the 2018 Big VIII Finals with a time of 15.34 and then clocked three straight times of under 15 to the season. In the CIF-SS Division I Finals he earned a third-place finish with a time of 14.75, then he ran 14.69 at the CIF-SS Masters Meet before clocking a 14.49 in the preliminary round of the CIF State Championship. He also finished the year strong in the 300mH, besting 38 seconds in each of his last four races. His PR of 37.18 came in the CIF State Championship Final where he earned a runner-up finish.
