FULLERTON, Calif. - Iesha Hamm, a member of the Cal State Fullerton women's indoor track and field team, is representing the team at the Air Force Open on Friday at 3 p.m. PT in the women's high jump competition.
Hamm and the Titans were slated to compete in the Husky Classic last weekend in Seattle but due to a snow storm in the Pacific Northwest, the Titans had to cancel the trip. As a result, head coach John Elders wanted to give Hamm another chance to compete prior to the MPSF Championships in Seattle on Feb. 22-23.
She cleared 5-9.25 (1.76m) in the high jump at the Colorado Invitational on Jan. 31. That mark is tied for No. 41 in the nation. The top 16 marks in the nation qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships and to put herself in the hunt to qualify, Hamm will have to at least clear 5-10.75 (1.80m).
