Fullerton, Calif. - Kayla Neto's career-high 15 kills propelled Cal State Fullerton to its first win over Cal Poly since 2004 and locked up Head Coach Carolyn Zimmerman's 100th career victory in a Big West Conference volleyball match Friday night at Titan Gym.

With the 25-11, 25-14, 25-17 win, the Titans snapped a brief two-match skid, and improved their record to 10-5 overall and 1-1 in league play. Fullerton's win was just the fourth all-time against Cal Poly in the 47-match history since 1980. It was just the Titans' second win over the Big West opponent in their last 24 meetings.

Cal Poly dropped its record to 5-11, 1-2.

Neto hit .600, collecting her 15 kills without committing an error. She was helped offensively by Erin Saddler (13 kills) and Alex Wolnisy (10 kills) collectively guiding the team to a .295 team attack percentage.

Saddler and setter Andrea Ragan each scooped 10-or-more digs on the night, each picking up a double-double. It was Saddler's 7th of the season with 13 kills and 11 digs. Ragan recorded her fourth of the year with 36 assists and 13 digs. Cami Croteau had a match-high 21 digs.

It was all Fullerton in the match as it led wire-to-wire through the first two sets. The Mustangs had their only lead of the match to start off set three, but relinquished it at after the Titans broke a 10-10 tie with a Neto kill. The Titans would not look back. In set one, the Titans scored their largest margin of victory this year, outscoring the Mustangs by 14 points.

The Titans out-blocked the Mustangs 7.0 to 3.0 on the night with the senior Wolnisty leading the way with four blocks (1 solo). Saddler also posted three as the Titans defense held the visitors to just an .040 team attack percentage.

No Cal Poly player reached double digits in kills. Megan McConnell led with 7 in the loss. She also had 17 digs, scoring a team-high 11.0 points.

Zimmerman is already the record holder for most victories by a head coach in Cal State Fullerton's history. She now has a career mark of 100-124, upping her winning percentage to .446, also a school record.

Fullerton has its work cut out for it as UC Santa Barbara will come to Titan Gym Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Gauchos are the leading vote getters, not in the Top 25, of this week's AVCA national poll. The Gauchos lost Friday night to No. 22 Long Beach State, 2-3, at the Pyramid in Long Beach.
