TOWSON, Md.--- Cal State Fullerton got off to a fast start, but couldn't quite keep the momentum rolling, as it dropped a 3-1 (25-15, 15-25, 19-25, 15-25) decision to Eastern Michigan, Saturday morning at SECU Arena.
For the Titans (3-6) , the match the second straight outing they were able to come away with an opening set victory, while Fullerton also had won four consecutive sets going back to Friday.
As she did on Friday, Madeline Schneider led the Titans in the kills department with nine, while Tyler Fezzey was close behind with eight, with an attack percentage of .192. Aniya Henry recorded a team-best attack percentage of .500.
The Titans came out of the gates scorching, using a dominating 7-0 run to build an 11-3 lead. Fullerton eventually coasted to a 25-15 win in the first set, while committing just five errors.
Eastern Michigan reclaimed the momentum taking the next three sets.
Fullerton will try and end the weekend on a high note, as it'll take on Quinnipiac later this morning at 11:30 am PT.
