Fullerton Takes Win Streak on the Road
Cal State Fullerton enters the week in a three-way tie with Pacific and UC Santa Barbara for third in the Big West standings. Currently on a season-long four-match win streak, the Titans head back to the road and will play the Gauchos (Friday) and Cal Poly (Saturday) this week.

Career nights for Leah Maurer and Gabrielle Dewberry were not enough to get Cal State Fullerton past UC Santa Barbara as the Gauchos outlasted the Titans, 3-1, in a Big West Conference contest. Maurer set a career high with 18 kills on Friday, but also added 13 digs and three blocks to lead the way in the loss. Kayla Neto also scored a double-double with 16 kills and 20 digs and also added a pair of service aces for the Titans.

Kristina Graven had 14 kills and Jennifer Keddy added 10 more as Cal Poly downed Cal State Fullerton in three straight sets. The Mustangs used just seven players on the night and hit a combined .259, besting the Titans' .174 team average. Graven hit .333 and added six digs and three blocks to the cause.

Neto Voted Player of the Week
Cal State Fullerton senior Kayla Neto was voted Big West Women's Volleyball Player of the Week after the Titans extended their winning streak to four matches with wins over UC Irvine and Long Beach State last weekend.
On Thursday night, Neto tied a career high with 27 kills in a come-from-behind five-set victory over UC Irvine.
The win over the 49ers on Saturday night at Titan Gym snapped a 59-match, 30-year losing streak to LBSU.
Against the 49ers, the Clarksburg, Calif., native recorded match highs in kills (17) and digs (22) to mark her eighth straight match with a double-double. For the week, Neto averaged 4.89 kills, 4.56 digs and 0.44 blocks per set while hitting .262 (44-12-122).
The award was Neto's fourth Big West Player of the Week honor in her career at Cal State Fullerton, and the second in 2012, as she previously received the honor on Oct. 1.
• The Titans have defeated the Anteaters in five straight matches...CSF is also 2-3 in five-set matches in 2012…Leah Best's 18 kills on Thursday night were a new career high, Bre Moreland's 19 digs were a new season best and Kayla Neto's 27 kills against UCI matched a career high.
• Last Saturday night, the Titans snapped a 59-match, 30-year losing streak to Long Beach State, defeating the 49ers, 3-1, for the first time since Oct. 19, 1982 (13-15, 10-15, 15-12, 15-10, 15-6)…Kayla Neto posted her 11th double-double of the season and eighth straight with 17 kills and 22 digs.
