Titans Swept at San Diego State, 7-0

SAN DIEGO, CA - The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team was swept by the score of 7-0 by host and No. 48-ranked San Diego State on Saturday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center.

The Titans fell to 1-2 overall on the 2008 season as the Aztecs (2-0 overall) won eight of the nine matches on the afternoon following a 6-1 victory over UC Riverside earlier in the day.

SDSU took the early 1-0 lead by winning two of the three doubles matches. The Fullerton team of Jerusha Cruz and Brandy Andrews defeated Ozge Atalay and Olivia Colman at the No. 3 spot, 8-6.

The Aztecs then went on to sweep all six singles matches in straight sets for the win.

Cal State Fullerton returns to action on Wednesday (Jan. 30) at 2:30 pm as the Titans host Azusa Pacific at the Titan Courts.
