Softball Hosts Second-Annual 'Power In Pink' Event

April 20, 2010

FULLERTON, CA - The Cal State Fullerton softball team will host its second-annual "Power in Pink" Day to support breast cancer research and awareness on Saturday, April 24, during its Big West Conference doubleheader with UC Davis at Anderson Family Field.

A silent auction of the team's game-worn pink jerseys will be held during the first game of the doubleheader and donations to benefit the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade will be accepted throughout the day.

Fans attending the games are encouraged to join the Titans and Aggies in wearing pink to show their support of the cause while the weekend's first pitch will be thrown out by guest of honor Kimi Kobashi.

Last season's inaugural event featuring the Titans and Cal Poly, raised more than \$1,300 for the Susan B. Komen For the Cure Foundation.

The doubleheader begins at 12 p.m. Tickets are \$7 for adults and \$5 for youths/seniors and may be purchased at the gate on game day, online at, or by phone by calling the athletic ticket office at 657-278-CSUF.
