FULLERTON, CA - The Cal State Fullerton softball team will host its third-annual "Power in Pink" Day to support breast cancer research and awareness on Sunday (April 17) during its Big West Conference series finale with Cal Poly at Anderson Family Field.
The Titans and Mustangs will meet for the second time in the three-year history of the event at Cal State Fullerton after the two programs met in the inaugural "Power in Pink" Day back in 2009. A silent auction of the Titans' game-worn pink jerseys and a special "Pink Day" blanket will be held throughout the day with the proceeds from the auction as well as donations benefitting the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
Fans are encouraged to join the Titans in wearing pink to show their support of the cause while Sunday's first pitch will be performed by guest of honor, and Cal State Fullerton softball alumna, Kim Powers, who was a catcher on the Titans' 1991-92 squads.
First pitch for Sunday's game will be at 12 p.m. with the pregame festivities starting at approximately 11:50 a.m. General admission tickets are \$7 for adults and \$5 for youth/seniors and may be purchased at the gate on game day or online at FullertonTitans.com.
