Mother Nature Claims Victory in Softball Opener

Feb. 6, 2009

FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton's softball season opener against Indiana set for Friday evening at 6 p.m. has been cancelled due to heavy rain in the Southern California area.

Saturday's doubleheader against Purdue, originally scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., will now begin at 3 p.m. with a second game to follow at approximately 5 p.m. at Anderson Family Field (weather permitting). The forecast calls for temperatures in the 60's as well as an 60 percent chance of rain.

Live scoring via CBS College Sports' Gametracker will be available for both games against the Boilermakers, however the scheduled Internet audio webcast and live streaming video will be unavailable due to scheduling conflicts with the Titans' men's basketball game against Cal Poly.
