FULLERTON, Calif. -- The Cal State Fullerton women's soccer team has expanded its spring schedule, adding a contest against local W-League foe, the Los Angeles Strikers, on Tuesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. at Titan Stadium.
The Strikers, who were coached by Titans' head coach Demian Brown in 2011 and 2012, feature former Fullerton forward Ann Marie Tangorra (2011-12) on the roster for the 2013 campaign while former Titan defender Vanessa Valentine (2001-04), who served as the team's captain in 2012, is now the team's general manager.
Admission is free to the event.
The Los Angeles Strikers FC was founded in 2011 and is one of seven teams in the Western Conference, which has sent a team to the finals in four of the last five seasons and has won four W-League titles since 2004.
Cal State Fullerton returns to the pitch for its fourth spring date this weekend, hosting four other teams in a quartet of contests at Titan Stadium on Sunday (April 14) beginning at 9:30 a.m.
