ANACONDA, Mont. – Cal State Fullerton women's golf finished the first two rounds of the Battle at Old Works Tournament Monday in fourth place with a 19-over par 595.
The Titans began round one with a score of 299 and finished off the day in round two with a improved score of 296. Fullerton is 11 strokes behind first place North Dakota State.
Pauline Welker led the Titans squad on day one with a 1-over par 145, slotting her tied for 5th place after two rounds of action. Welker had an impressive first round, shooting a 3-under par 69 to finish in 2nd place before falling back a few spots after the second round.
Sophomore Elsa Lundquist finished the day tied for 14th place with a 4-over par 148. Lundquist had a slow start to the day with a 7-over par 79 but bounced back in round two with a 3-under par 69.
Brittany Farrell and Britney Sok are in a four-way tie for 19th place with an 8-over par 152. Felicia Madella rounds out the squad in with a 12-over par 156 ranking her tied for 30th.
Fullerton wraps up the Battle at Old Works Tournament with the third and final round Tuesday.
