SOPHOMORE (2012-13): Competed in all but two tournaments for the Titans with a 78.14 scoring average for the season -- good for fourth among regulars... posted a season-best 11th-place finish at the Folino Invitational on Feb. 17-19 with a 16-over-par 229 -- one of three top-20 finishes on the year... shot a season-low 74 twice -- both coming in the first two rounds of her Titan debut at the Cougar Cup hosted by Washington State on Sept. 24-25 en route to a season-low 224 (+8) over 54 holes.
FRESHMAN (2011-12): Mier averaged 79.4 strokes for the FIU Golden Panthers in Miami in 2011-12 for Coach Joe Vogel... a consistent player who shot 76, 79, 78 at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational and 79, 77, 78 to place 40th at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational iin Hawaii... also shot 77, 76, 75 to tie for 27th at the Sir Pizza Card Challenge in Weston, Florida.

Mier was a four-time Pac 7 League MVP for Righetti High School's Warriors and Coach Tracy Davis in Santa Maria... Makayla advanced to the CIF Playoffs all four years, gaining Stage 1 as a freshman, stage 2 as a sophomore and stage 3 as a junior and senior... won Santa Barbara County athlete of the week recognition each season... aas a seior shot a league course record 31 over 9 holes at Rancho Maria GC... as a junior qualified to play in the Girls' Junior Tourney in North Carolina... also was on the swimming team as a freshman.
