FULLERTON, CA - Former Cal State Fullerton forward Charlee Underwood listed playing professionally in her media guide bio as one of her post-graduation goals. Now, the two-time All-Big West Conference honoree is getting her chance in one of the top divisions in Finland.
Underwood is currently competing for club HoNsU out of the city of Jyvaskyla, averaging 17.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game through seven contests thus far this season.
She is one of three foreign-born players on the roster, and the only American, joining Canadians Breanne Watson, who played collegiately at the University of Washington, and Lizanne Murphy, who played at Hofstra.
Underwood, a four-year starter for Fullerton from 2003-07, finished her Titans' career as the seventh-best scorer in school history with 1,382 points and set school records for three-pointers made (164) and sttempted (482).
She also ranks among the program's all-time leaders in rebounds (630), field goals (529), field goals attempted (1,328), three-point percentage (.340), blocks (50), and steals (176).
