Women's Basketball Earns No. 3 Seed, First-Round Bye in Big West Tourney

FULLERTON, CA - The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team will get somewhat of a breather to open the Big West Conference Tournament as the Titans earned the No. 3 seed and a first-round bye for next week's event at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Fullerton, which went 11-16 overall and 7-7 in league play this season, will meet the lowest remaining seed on Thursday (March 9) at noon after the two first round games pitting the bottom four seeds.

Wednesday's first round games will feature No. 5 Cal Poly against No. 8 Pacific at noon and No. 6 UC Irvine against No. 7 Cal State Northridge at approximately 2:30 p.m.

UC Santa Barbara earned the tournament's top seed and are followed by No. 2 Long Beach State. UC Riverside is the tournament's No. 4 seed.
