IRVINE, Calif. - The women's basketball game against CSUN on Feb. 16 has been picked up for an ESPN3 broadcast. The Big West Conference announced the news over the weekend.
This will be the second ESPN3 game for the Titans in two weeks after having the national broadcast for their game at UC Irvine.
The Titans have hit a dry spell recently dropping their last five games with a to the Anteaters on Saturday being the most recent. They currently sport an 11-11 overall record and 3-6 in Big West action. Fullerton still sits as the third highest scoring offense in the league averaging 63.2 points per game and sit in second with a 41.8% field goal percentage. Individually, Daeja Smith leads the team averaging 13.0 ppg and 8.6 rpg. Smith also has a commanding lead in field goal percentage in the Big West shooting 54.2% this season.
On the other side, CSUN sits in fourth place in the Big West standings with a 5-4 record (11-12 overall). They have the second-best defense allowing just 60.3 points per game to their opponents. Reigning Big West Player of the Year and arguable favorite to repeat, Channon Fluker leads the Matadors on both ends of the ball averaging 15.5 ppg and 11.0 rpg. She also leads the nation in blocks with 87 total averaging 3.61 blocks per game.
CSUN dominated the Titans in their first meeting this year as Fullerton suffered a 44-74 loss in the Matadome.
Tip-off in Titan Gym will be at 6:00 p.m. and will be featured on ESPN3 as well as the WatchESPN app.
