PLACENTIA, Calif.--- The Cal State Fullerton men and women's basketball programs took their basketball skills into the community, as the teams visited with the kids from Valdez Elementary School Tuesday afternoon.

The Titans spent time with over 35 kids from the "GOALS" after school program, as they helped lead the group in warm up drills, shooting contests, and even a Q and A session at the end.

"It is so important for our student-athletes to give back to a community that supports them and thankfully the 'GOALS' program allows us to do just that," said assistant women's basketball coach Taja Edwards. "We all had a great time and really enjoyed interacting with the kids today."

The Titans will open their respective seasons in just over a month, as the women will tip-off the new season with an exhibition affair vs. California Baptist on Oct. 23, while the men open things up with an exhibition game vs. Redlands on Nov. 2. Both games will be played at Titan Gym.

Titan fans can follow both teams on Twitter all season long. Follow the women's basketball team at @WBBTitans, while the men can be tracked at @FullertonHoops. Also make sure to "like" the women's basketball team on Facebook at: Facebook.com/WBBTitans
