MIAMI—Former Titan defender Bobby Reiss was named to the North American Soccer League's team of the week after netting his first professional career goal, as his Atlanta Silverbacks played the Carolina RailHawks to a 1-1 draw in a crucial league affair last Saturday afternoon.
Reiss was able to capitalize off a free kick in the 64th minute, as teammate Danny Barrera found Reiss, who put the ball in the back of the net to give his squad the 1-0 advantage in what was a pivotal match between the top two teams in the league.
The Silverbacks (5-3-3, 18 pts) sit just two points behind the RailHawks (5-1-5, 20 pts) for first place with just one game remaining on the schedule for both clubs.
Reiss' Silverbacks can capture the NASL spring championship with a win on July 4 vs. the Tampa Bay Rowdies, coupled with a Fort Lauderdale win over the RailHawks.
