Jason Drotter was appointed interim director of golf operations in the Fall of 2008 and served as head coach for the men's golf team that was reinstated along with a women's program at Cal State Fullerton for the 2009-10 academic year. He later hired Pearl Sinn-Bonanni to coach the women's team. Helped guide the Titans to a share of the Big West Championship during the 2012-13 season and was also named the 2013 Big West Men's Golf Coach of the Year. 

Drotter was manager of Super Sports Golf and Recreation Center in Orange and also was the coach of the boys' and girls' golf teams at Villa Park High School for six years. He was a standout golfer at Long Beach State and has been a teaching professional. He played on the Golden State Tour and on the professional mini-tour. He has coached hundreds of high school and collegiate golfers.

"I am honored to have been chosen as the director of golf here at Cal State Fullerton," said Drotter upon his Nov. 3, 2008, appointment. "During my brief involvement here, I am convinced that the athletics department is second to none. Given this, the strong support of our donors and our geographic location, I feel confident in our future success."
