SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – After holding the top spot at the conclusion of round two, Cal State Fullerton men's golf finished in second place in the Olympic Club Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Olympic Club - Lake Course.
The Titans shot 8-over par 292 on the final day of the tournament, finishing with a final score of 2-under par 850.
The Titans were one of two teams to finish the tournament under-par.
Titan's Derek Castillo finished tied in second place individually with scores of 65, 69, and 76. Castillo finished the tournament with an overall score of 3-under par 210. This is Castillo's 8th top ten finish of the season, and fourth in a row.
The Titans had four players finish inside the top 20.
Jack Dyer finished tied for fourth with an overall score of 2-under par 211. This is Dyer's second straight top ten finish.
Michael Sharkey finished the tournament tied for 27th place with a score of 8 over-par 221.
Nevada beat the Titans by one stroke. Nevada's Sam Meek came in first place individually with a score of 4 under-par 209.
Fullerton is back in action April 8 and 9 at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic tournament in Chandler, Arizona.
