PULLMAN, Wash. – After day one of the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate Cal State Fullerton men's golf sits in a tie for 4th place with South Dakota at 7-under par 561.
Fullerton finished round one of the day in first place with an impressive 8-under par 276, four strokes better than second place finisher Long Beach State.
The Titans cooled down in the second round of the collegiate, finishing with a 1-over par 285 to drop them back to fourth place. Boise State leads the field with a 22-under par 546 while Fullerton sits seven strokes behind Big West rivals Long Beach in the third place.
CJ Coleman leads the Titans individually with an 8-under par 134 to place him tied for second after two rounds of play. Coleman sits just two strokes behind the leader Thomas Vining from South Dakota.
Senior Mark Cobey and first year transfer Derek Castillo are tied for 21st place with a 1-under par 141. Matt Wilson is tied for 33rd place with a 4-over par 146 and Davis Holman is in 65th place with an 11-over 153
The Titans wrap up the third and final round of the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate Tuesday morning with an 8:30 a.m. tee time.
