BWC Honors for Thompson

Fullerton, Calif. - Senior guard Aaron Thompson was selected the Big West Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his role in Cal State Fullerton's 68-65 double overtime upset victory at UCLA on Monday night, Nov. 16.

The 6-foot-4 guard from Cerritos College was the only player in Pauley Pavilion to have any success with perimeter shooting. He made two 3-pointers in five attempts and 9 of 14 shots overall on his way to a career-high 22 points. He matched his career high with 9 rebounds and added 3 assists and 2 steals while playing 47 of a possible 50 minutes.

It was Fullerton's first win over the Bruins in 10 tries, all in Pauley Pavilion.

Thompson attended Washington High School in Los Angeles.

Fullerton hosts New Mexico State on Tuesday night. Parking is free because the campus is closed for a furlough week.
