Cal State Fullerton: Everyday Champions
Intercollegiate athletics is about much more than wins and losses. The physical and mental training augment the classroom experience and teach life's lessons. Intercollegiate athletic scholarships provide an opportunity for students who otherwise might not seek higher education. And numerous studies have shown that student-athletes outperform "average" students and are more likely to become community, educational and business leaders. This is the eighth in a series of Titan athletics success stories.

Senior Aaron Thompson is very thankful for the opportunities basketball has given him to be a success in life. He was not a strong student in high school and did just enough to get by. But a nudge in the right direction by his high school coach, and some self motivation at Cerritos College, put him in a position to play basketball at the Div. I level for Cal State Fullerton and earn his degree in sociology in the process. Click here to hear his story.
Titans to Graduate 61 Athletes This Summer
The ultimate goal of most Cal State Fullerton student-athletes will be realized this summer with the receipt of their bachelors degree. A total of 61 Titans are eligible to walk through Commencement Exercises this weekend, making it one of the largest "classes" in recent years.
