Scott Waterman returns for a fourth season coaching with the Titans and a fifth year in the program including his tenure as director of basketball operations for Head Coach Bob Burton for the 2007-08 season. Waterman assumed his coaching duties on July 1, 2008.

Waterman handles academics for the program and deserves significant credit for the best semester aggregate gpa in the program's history with the team's 3.19 performance in the Spring, 2011, grading period.

Waterman came to Cal State Fullerton after a five-year tenure at Long Beach State which was capped by a Big West Tournament title and NCAA berth. He was a full-time assistant for the 49ers in 2006-07 after serving three years as the administrative assistant and one as strength and conditioning coach.

A 2002 graduate of Occidental College, Waterman was a summer league coach for six summers at El Toro High School and he has worked at several high-profile collegiate summer basketball camps.

Waterman played three seasons at Occidental and was team captain for two years. In his senior season the Tigers went 18-7 and placed third in the SCIAC. The product of El Toro High School earned his masters degree in kinesiology at Long Beach State in 2004.

Waterman lives in Santa Ana with his wife of one year, Nicole.
