Titans Enjoy Day on the Links

FULLERTON, Calif. – Supporters of the Cal State Fullerton men's basketball program hit the course on a picturesque summer day at Black Gold Golf Club on Monday, participating in the 2014 Men's Basketball Golf Tournament Presented by Nike.

In a four-person scramble, each participating golfer received a Nike Tiger Woods collection golf polo as well as a Titans golf towel.

The event netted over $30,000 for the men's basketball program as second-year head coach Dedrique Taylor was joined by his entire coaching staff on the links.

"I am very appreciative of the generosity of our Titan men's basketball supporters," Taylor said. "It was another remarkable event, and I always enjoy joining family, friends, fans and especially our Titan alumni, in supporting our program."

Members of the men's basketball team enjoyed mingling with donors at various hole locations and at the banquet.

Titan alum Frank Robinson was present and wearing his 2008 Big West Championship ring, while Taylor shared the 2014-15 schedule with crowd and introduced his team.

Senior Josh Gentry closed the evening by thanking everyone once again and sharing his excitement for the upcoming season.
