Former Titan Bobby Brown Named Euroleague MVP for January
FULLERTON, Calif. -- Former Cal State Fullerton men's basketball standout Bobby Brown has been named the Euroleague bwin MVP for the month of January the organization announced on Jan. 28.
Brown (Euroleague Bio), who has been named the league's player of the week three times this season, rang in the New Year with one of the league's best performances, tying a Euroleague single-game scoring mark with 41 points against Fenerbache Ulker and averaged 24 points per game in Montepaschi Siena's four games this month, including capping a 22-point night with a length of the court buzzer-beater to defeat Olympiacos Piraeus.
He also shot .483 (29-for-60) from the field overall for the month, including a 44-percent clip (12-for-27) from three-point range, and hit 26-of-27 (.963) from the line while averaging 4.75 assists per game.
Through 15 games this season, Brown leads the league at 20.5 ppg and 307 points overall while standing atop the league in assists (83) and third in assists per game (5.53 apg). He also stands second in free throw percentage (.898), first in three-pointers made (41), and fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.24)
