VERSUS THE HIGHLANDERS: The Titans are 20-16 all-time against UC Riverside dating back to their first meeting in 1978. Last year, The Titans sandwiched a pair of wins (7-6 in 16 inn. and 12-1) around a 12-inning, 6-4, loss at Goodwin Field. In the series opener the Titans and Highlanders played the longest game (innings) in Goodwin Field history (16 innings). The game appeared over when Josh Fellhaur lifted a flyball down the left field line, but Aaron Wible dropped the fly after a long run to get there, giving Fellhauer another chance (in which he singled) and opeing the door for a five-run, ninth-inning rally.

MORE ON MATCH-UP VERSUS UCR: Since UC Riverside became a member of the Big West Conference in 2002, it is the only conference team to have a winning record against Cal State Fullerton in baseball. The Highlanders are 12-9 vs. the Titans including 8-1 in Riverside. Fullerton has a 12-9 record against Long Beach State (7-5 in Long Beach) in the same span and a winning percentage of .667 or better against all of the other teams for a total mark of 116-46 (.716). Fullerton has an edge - home AND away - over every team except at Riverside. Fullerton has played 54 three-game series in the seven seasons and have lost just 10 - three to UCR including two by 3-0 sweeps at Riverside (Fullerton has been swept only two other times... at Long Beach and at home vs. Cal State Northridge).

RED, WHITE AND BLUE POWER: US National Team members Josh Fellhauer, Christian Colon and Jared Clark went a combined 14-for-37 (.378) with 4 doubles, a triple, scored 10 runs and drove in 11 against their Team USA Head Coach Rob Walton - the head coach of the Titans' weekend opponent, Oral Roberts
