TITANS `08: Worked primarily out of the bullpen in 2008 making three midweek starts in April • Tied with Adam Jorgenson for the second most appearances out of the pen (27) behind Jason Dovel • Earned his first win of the year in his 11th appearance of the season at LMU on Apr. 1 when he went a career high 6 innings holding the Lions scoreless on just one hit • His second win of the year came on June 1 against UCLA in the Fullerton Regional (2.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 K) • Went four consecutive scoreless outings between Mar. 25 and Apr. 5, allowing just three hits over 12.1 innings pitched • Struck out a career-high five batters on Mar. 8 against Southern Miss over 2.2 innings of relief • Had six appearances in which he struck out four-or-more batters and did not record a strikeout on just three occasions.

CYPRESS HS: Played varsity baseball for four seasons at Cypress High School in Cypress, Calif., under Head Coach John Weber • In his last three seasons, earned All-Empire League recognition at three different positions (3B, P, OF) • Was named Empire League Pitcher of the Year in 2005 as a junior, when he posted an 11-1 record with a 1.83 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 2005 • Was a 2005 unanimous pick as a first-team all-league, all-CIF, and all-county player, helping the Centurions to a Div. II CIF Championship • Backed up his junior year with a solid senior season going 9-0 from the mound, with a 1.71 ERA and 81 strikeouts, while hitting .297 with four home runs in 2006 • Was named to the All-CIF second team in 2006 and again an All-Empire League first-teamer • Rung up 18 strikeouts against Valencia High School his senior year • The 2006 Centurions were ranked No. 4 in the country.
