DIAMOND BAR HS: Was a three-year varsity player for the Brahmas under Head Coach and former Titan outfielder Rich Gonzalez • Hit .333 and earned second-team All-Sierra League honors as a sophomore • Belted three home runs and hit .480 as a junior, earning first-team all-league recognition • Was highly decorated his senior year, hitting a whopping .612 with 4 home runs • Was named the Sierra League's Most Valuable Player, garnered All-CIF and All-Inland Valley First-Team recognition, and was tabbed a second-team All-American by Baseball America • Was named the MVP of the 2007 Loara Tournament • Was the Diamond Bar High School Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year • His No. 22 was retired by the Brahma baseball program in 2007 • Was drafted by the Oakland A's in the 12th round of the 2007 MLB first-year player draft • Was also a two-time All-Sierra League soccer player • Academically, was on the Principal's Honor Roll in each semester of high school.
