FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans (11-10) look to continue their winning streak as they host Pepperdine (12-8) Tuesday night at Goodwin Field with first pitch scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT
Fullerton is coming off of a nonconference series sweep over Long Beach State this past weekend. It was the first time since 2015 the Titans swept the Dirtbags and the first time sweeping them at Blair Field Since the 2013 season.
The Titans had outstanding pitching all weekend against Long Beach State as they outscored the Dirtbags 17-7 throughout the three games. Fullerton's starting pitchers allowed just four runs in 21 innings pitched.
Timothy Josten looks to be the Titans probable starter for Tuesday's midweek matchup with Pepperdine. Josten's last extended outing was against San Diego where he went 3.1 innings while not allowing a single hit.
Pepperdine is heads into Tuesday's game after a series win over West Coast Conference opponent Gonzaga, winning two out of three games in its conference opener. The Waves took game one and two over Gonzaga before dropping Sunday's contest.
The Waves probable starter looks to be Raul Salazar who has a 0-1 record with a 2.31 ERA in six appearances this season along with one start. Salazar's last start came against Minnesota where he went five innings, giving up seven hits and two runs.
While the Titans while have more nonconference games through the season, Tuesday's game against Pepperdine will be the last before starting Big West play this weekend against UC Santa Barbara.
