A 2013 graduate of Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, Calif…played four years on the varsity squad for head coach Tim Penprase…in 2013, led the Lions to the CIF Southern Section Division IV championship with an 18-strikeout performance in a 4-0 shutout of El Rancho High School…Oaks Christian finished the season with a 29-3-1 record and won the Tri Valley League championship with an undefeated record of 10-0…completed the year with a 12-1 record, 0.83 ERA and 146 strikeouts in 84 and 2/3 innings…honors his senior season included: CIF Southern Section Division IV Player of the Year, Max Preps California Medium Schools Baseball all-state team, Los Angeles Times All-Area Team, Los Angeles Daily News All-Area Team, Ventura County Star Player of the Year, Tri-Valley League MVP… was named of one the top 20 pitchers at the 2012 Area Code games by Louisville Slugger…played for the 2012 Milwaukee Brewers Area Code Team…as a junior at Oaks Christian was named the Tri-Valley League Most Valuable Pitcher after finishing 2012 with a 2.42 ERA and an 8-3 record with seven complete games, one shutout and two saves…in 72 and 1/3 innings struck out 107 and held opposing batters to a .201 clip.
