AS A SOPHOMORE (2012)
Chad Wallach was part of the three-man catching rotation with Casey Watkins and Jared Deacon • Started 21 times behind the plate with a 13-8 record • He appeared in a total of 32 games and batted .206 with four doubles and seven RBIs • In 16 Big West Conference games he batted .281 in 32 at bats • Best game was a 3-for-4 effort vs. Cal State Northridge on March 30 with two runs and one RBI • Biggest hit was a ninth-inning RBI double that tied the game and set up Anthony Hutting’s RBI single in a 5-4 win over UC Davis on Apr. 6.

AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
Appeared in 20 games, four as a starter • First collegiate hit came in second game on Mar. 26 at Hawaii as a pinch-hitter and the RBI single broke a 2-2 tie in what became a 4-2 Titan win • Had a modest four-game hitting streak Apr. 9 thru Apr. 21 (.400, 4-for-10).

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a two-year letterwinner for Head Coach Doug Adams at Calvary Chapel High School in Santa Ana, Calif. • Was a first-team All-Orange Coast League honoree after batting .400 with six home runs and 33 RBIs as a junior • Hit .489 as a senior with 10 home runs and 45 RBIs earning first-team All-Orange Coast League and All-CIF Second Team Recognition • Was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft in the 43rd round.

Born on Nov. 4, 1991, in Orange Calif. • Full name is Chad Arthur Wallach • Parents are Tim and Lori Wallach • Has two older brothers (Matt and Brett) • Father, Tim, played for the Titans from 1978-79 (.392, 39 HR, 182 RBI) and was a Golden Spikes Award winner, first-round draft pick and national champion in 1979; went on to become a five-time MLB All-Star over a 17-year big-league career; is currently the third base coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers; was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in the summer of 2011 • Brother, Matt, was a Titan catcher/first baseman (.255, 5 HR, 28 RBI) in 2007; finished 2012 with Double-A Chattanooga (Dodgers) • Brother, Brett, finished 2012 with Class A Daytona (Cubs) • Major is communications • Models his game after Matt Wieters • Favorites include: Jeff Mathis (baseball player), Los Angeles Dodgers (team), Fenway Park (stadium and place to play), Taylor Swift (musical artist), “Good Burger” (movie), “Hunger Games” (book), Nick Swardson (actor), sushi (food) and facebook.com (website).
