ST. FRANCIS HS: A 2012 graduate of St. Francis High School in La Canada, Calif. • For three years played varsity baseball for head coaches Brian Esquival and Aaron Milam • Was a three–time all-area team pick (2010-12), and a two-time Mission League first team (2011 & 2012) selection • As a senior in 2012, batted .410 with a .500 slugging percentage, 15 runs scored and  nine stolen bases, and was named the St. Francis HS Golden Knight of the Year • As a junior in 2011, batted .415 with 19 RBIs, 11 doubles and 11 stolen bases • As a sophomore in 2010, batted .513 with 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored • Was a four-year member of the honor roll and was named to the Mission League all-academic team for three straight seasons (2010-12).
