FULLERTON, Calif.—The Titans resume their 2013 outdoor season this Friday and Saturday as the program plays host to the Ben Brown Invitational this weekend at the Titan Track and Field Complex on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.
Over 1,500 athletes will fill over 2,500 event spots and will represent over 40 institutions this weekend, including Divison-I programs like Long Beach State, UC Irvine, USC, Pepperdine, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cal State Bakersfield, and of course Cal State Fullerton among others.
The meet will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. with the men and women's hammer throw and will conclude approximately around 10:00 p.m. Saturday evening with the distance carnival.
"We've been putting this meet on for years now and it's really fun to see our athletes get a chance to compete against other top athletes at home," said Cal State Fullerton head track and field coach John Elders. "It's definitely going to be a long day at the track, but a fun one as well."
On the women's side it will be Jasiri Blake, Jessica Lewis, Alexandria Stewart, Alexis Stewart, Calaiah Branch, Elizabeth Claustro, Melissa Kelly, Casey Candelaria, Emily Taylor, Lydia Wang, Ana Valdovinos, Tristanie Bjazevich, Sara Taylor, Amiri Ladan, Katie Bathgate, Lexie Bravo, Celinda Manzo, Lauren McIntyre, Tenia Sebastian, Emily McVay, Kara Kalmar, Jasmyne Davis, Brionna Thompson, Amanda Mercado, Catherine Craig, and Alexandria Kemp competing for the Titan women.
