SEATTLE – Sophomore Samantha Huerta broke her own school record in the mile on Saturday to highlight day two of the UW Invitational for Cal State Fullerton women's indoor track and field.
Huerta earned a 26th-place finish in the mile with a personal-best time of 4:54.55. Her previous best and also the previous school record, was 5:01.67, set on Feb. 11.
Also in the mile, Sandra Flores (5:09.87), Pamela Pelayo (5:22.75) and Gabrielle De La Rosa (5:26.60) represented the Titans.
Trinity Ruelas ran 10:07.93 in the 3,000-meter race and Wendi Leos posted a time of 10:19.47 for CSF.
Mia Franco clocked a time of 60.26 in the 400 meters and Fanny Giron ran the 800 meters in a season-best time of 2:19.41. Jordan Agnew competed in the long jump and posted a mark of 16-3.25 (4.96m).
Next up for the Titans is the Colorado Invitational in Boulder on Feb. 1-2.
