Fullerton, CA -
Student-athletes from Cal State Fullerton will stage their sixth annual holiday party on Thursday (Dec. 7) at Crittenton Services of Fullerton, which provides homes to abused and neglected children.
They will spend the entire evening presenting and opening gifts, eating, talking and playing with the children. This charity helps strengthen families (birth, foster, and adoptive), and provides homes to abused and neglected children. Most importantly, they provide a variety of treatment services for the children including: sexual abuse treatment, anger management, assertion skills, early substance abuse prevention, counseling center, and an on-ground park for recreational and outdoor activities.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has been active within CSF and the community for several years. Comprised of two student-athlete representatives from every sport, SAAC's goal is to connect student-athletes with their campus and community.
This year's holiday party will benefit a record setting number of children. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's goal for the holiday party is to purchase gifts and treats for every child.
To supplement the efforts being made by each team, donations are being sought. Toys, wrapping paper, sugar cookies and cookie decorations will be accepted at the Men's Basketball game vs. Texas San-Antonio on Saturday (Dec. 2), in Titan Gym. Tip-off is 6:05 PM.
Or, if you would like to make a cash donation to the Titan Athletics Fund to support our SAAC in their efforts, you can make your gift online at www.fullerton.edu/tac.
