Titans' SWA Appointed to NCAA Post

Indianapolis, IN - Cal State Fullerton Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator Dr. Allison Rich has been appointed a member of the Executive Committee for NCAA Certification.
There are two institutional presidents and three athletics administrators on the Executive Committee. This 5-person group is responsible for evaluating and ratifying all decisions made by the Certification Committee. This Executive Committee is the group that will grant the certification, or non-certification, to member institutions.
"This is a very prestigious committee and we join in congratulating Allison on this appointment," said Director of Athletics Brian Quinn.
Dr. Rich has been at Cal State Fullerton since Jan. 3, 2005. She previously was the associate director of athletics for internal affairs at University of Pacific in Stockton. Dr. Rich had been at Pacific since April of 1998. She previously was a membership services representative for the NCAA where she drafted legislation and other NCAA publications, worked with committees such as satisfactory progress and financial aid, and spoke to various groups around the country including various sport conferences and national associations.
Dr. Rich obtained her bachelor's degree from Princeton University in 1991. She earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1995 and her doctorate in educational administration from Pacific in 2002.
