Outside Food to Be Allowed at Titan Events

Fullerton, Calif. - To help facilitate a "fan friendly" atmosphere at Goodwin Field, Titan Stadium, the Titan Softball Complex and in Titan Gym, outside food will be permitted at all Cal State Fullerton home athletic events beginning with Saturday's 6 p.m. non-conference baseball game against UC Irvine.

Cans and glass bottles will continue to be prohibited.

"We are trying to look out for the welfare of our loyal fans," said Director of Athletics Brian Quinn. "In an attempt to help our concessions operation overcome a significant loss in revenue due to the CSU systemwide ban on the sale of beer, we enforced a policy last weekend that was not well received.

"Our concessions people are working without permanent facilities, which creates limitations. We supplement their operation with outside purveyors such as KettleKorn, Hawaiian Shaved Ice, Mikey's Pizza and Philly's Best. But some of our fans still prefer to bring in food and snacks for themselves and family members and we don't want to detract from their enjoyment of one of the finest collegiate baseball programs in the nation."
